Manned Convenience Centers (posted 10/12)

Airport, Quinby, Ebenezer, Cusaac, Coward, Pamplico, Paul Jones, and Lake City Manned Convenient Centers will be open from 7am-7pm Monday-Saturday.

All sites closed on Sunday as well as any site not mentioned here.

Parks and Recreation Closings and Cancellations (posted 10/12)

The following Florence County Parks and Recreation activities and/or facilities are closed/canceled due to loss of power and/or storm damage:

Facilities

  • Administrative offices are closed until further notice.
  • Ebenezer Park, due to damage, is closed including: parking lot, picnic shelters, playground, walking track and ball field. For tennis information, contact Richard Starr at 843-616-2669.
  • Spaulding Heights is closed until further notice.
  • Lynches River County Park, due to recent storm damage and power outages, is closed until further notice

Francis Marion Fields – The Fall baseball league will play Thursday October 13th.

Activities

  • October 12th A.C.T. cancelled today.
  • October 13th Coastal Carolina Museum trip cancelled.
  • October 14th Tour of Charleston trip cancelled.

Florence County Office Open Wednesday October 12 (posted 10/11)

Florence County administrative and non-emergency offices will resume normal operating hours beginning tomorrow, Wednesday October 12th.

County employees should report to work at their normal scheduled time. If unable to report to work, they may coordinate leave time with their Department Head.

Jury Duty Information (posted 10/11)

JURORS WHO WERE SCHEDULED TO REPORT FOR CIRCUIT COURT JURY DUTY ON MONDAY, OCTOBER 10, 2016 ARE NOW SCHEDULED TO REPORT ON WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 12, 2016. PLEASE REPORT TO THE 11TH FLOOR COURTROOM AT 9:30 AM.

Florence County curfew for Monday night (posted 10/10)

Pursuant to the Proclamation Florence County Council issued on Saturday, Oct. 8, the Florence County Director of Emergency Management, the Florence County Administrator, and the Sheriff of Florence County herby implement a countywide mandatory curfew from 7 P.M. on Monday, Oct. 10 until 7 A.M. on Tuesday, Oct. 11 for non-emergency activities. Exceptions to the curfew include essential public safety/medical employees, and essential industry staff until the proclamation is rescinded.

Florence County Government Office Closures (posted 10/10)

After careful consideration, Florence County administrative and non-emergency departments will be closed Tuesday, October 11th due to current county conditions following Hurricane Matthew.

Manned Convenience Centers (posted 10/10)

Manned convenience centers at Ebenezer, Coward and Cussacs are the only sites open today due to power. We will update as to schedule and sites for the remainder of the week once that information becomes available.

Jury Duty Cancellation (posted 10/09)

If you were selected to report for jury duty Monday, October 10th on the 11th floor courtroom you do not need to report. Check back on this site Monday after 5:00pm for instructions regarding Tuesday.

Shelters (posted 10/09)

Later today we are consolidating our shelters to better serve the citizens of the community by combining our personal and resources.
At 9 p.m. tonight the shelter at Hannah-Pamplico Middle/Elementary School and the Timmonsville Educational Center will close. The shelters at Wilson, South Florence and Lake City High School will remain open.
