Notice of CDBG Needs Assessment Public Hearing

NOTICE OF CDBG NEEDS ASSESSMENT PUBLIC HEARING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Monday, June 1, 2020, at 12:00 PM, Florence County will hold a public hearing at 2314 Pisgah Rd, Florence to solicit public input on community needs and priorities for housing, public facilities, and economic development. At this public hearing the county will provide the results of its needs assessment and the activities which might be undertaken to meet identified needs, including the estimated amount proposed to be used for activities that will benefit persons of low and moderate income. With consideration for current shelter in place recommendations due to COVID-19, information is also available by phone at 843-702-3139.

This public hearing and the matters to be discussed are subject to the provisions of Florence County’s Citizen Participation Plan, developed in anticipation of participation in the State of South Carolina’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program, providing for the participation of the citizens of Florence County in the planning and implementation of community and economic development projects which will involve CDBG funds. The Citizen Participation Plan is available for review at the County between 8:30 and 5:00 weekdays.
